Production

Cerler's production process is focused on becoming as smart as possible. In order to do so, we are introducing technologies enabling the automation of smart replies from production systems, the production status analysis in real time and the connectivity with other business processes.

The high value added manufacturing service provided by Cerler is based on the strong abilities of our highly skilled and experienced technical team and the continuous improvement of our processes.

Here are some of the phases a product would follow throughout our production process:

  • 1. Process validation

The production process is audited by our quality control team together with our customer, ensuring the fulfilling of Critical to Quality (CTQ) metrics assigned to the product and to the process.

  • 2. NPI - New Product Introduction

Continuous feedback is provided to our customer about the industrial pre-series produced before the start of mass production.

  • 3. Mass production

Mass production of the industrialized product takes place under the standards which have been agreed and validated together with our customers, according to their planned demand.

  • 4. End-of-life product stage

Management of the last productive series of the product is done in close communication with our customer. We can manage residual stocks of raw material and finished products.

  • 5. Production of spare parts

Analysis and management of our customer's demand for spare parts can be provided.

  • 6. Traceability of product and processes

Cerler can manage the information on the product components together with the information about manufacturing and test processes with the objective of keeping full traceability of the customer's final product.

Laser marking of serial number on PCBs allows easy traceability from start of assembly.

RFID traceability systems can be used for production processes and for product.

  • 7. Component life cycle

We can manage and solve any technical and supply issues that might arise with the product components during its life cycle.

  • 8. Internal logistics

Our standard is based on Lean Logistics, by applying KANBAN and MILKRUN concepts of Lean Manufacturing, together with the use of RFID technology for process and finished product tracking.

  • 9. Material reception

Raw material incoming inspection and quality control are provided to ensure the component specifications are fulfilled.

  • 10. SMT Assembly

Cerler has high-capacity lines with automatic solder paste inspection (SPI) and artificial optical inspection (AOI) systems. Our equipment supports reflow soldering profiles divided in up to 10 zones. Traceability of soldering profiles is maintained.

  • 11. THT Assembly

Cerler can offer manual and automatic assembly of custom THT components with radial and odd-form insertion equipment, wave soldering with nitrogen atmosphere, control of thermal profiles and selective soldering.

  • 12. Test systems

Automatic, semi-automatic and manual test systems are designed according to the volume of the customer's project. Tests can be applied to the board assembly, the board function and even the final assembled product.

  • 13. Coating

Automatic or manual protection systems can be applied according to the project requirements.

  • 14. Final product assembly

Final assembly of the product can also be provided.

  • 15. Reliability tests

Cerler can undertake run-in tests in climate test chambers to detect infant mortality component failures or those failures due to defects in the process, always under customer specifications.
